Corrections: the messages we act on first

If a cost figure on this site looks wrong, tell us. Corrections are checked against our sourcing rules and, when confirmed, fixed and re-dated on the page. To make a correction easy to verify, please include:

• The guide or calculator page (the URL is enough)
• The figure you believe is wrong
• Your source, a published price, a dataset, a dated quote, anything checkable

A correction with a source will always outrank a figure without one; that rule is written into how we estimate.

Questions and feedback

Questions about a guide, a calculator result that doesn’t add up, or a project you’d like us to cover, all welcome at the same address. We read everything; as a small research site we can’t promise a personal reply to every message, and replies can take a few days.

What we can’t do by email

• We can’t quote your job. We’re a research publication, not a contractor, no one here can price your specific home, and anyone who offers to on our behalf isn’t us.
• We can’t recommend or book a contractor, and we don’t pass your details to companies. If you want quotes, collect them locally and use our guides to weigh them.
• We don’t accept paid placements, sponsored content or paid links. Offers of that kind aren’t answered.

Privacy

What your email is used for, and what this site collects, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Signing up for price updates is separate from contacting us, emailing us never subscribes you to anything.
